Happy St Davids Day

March the 1st is an important date on Tree Tops. Not only does our park reopen for the 2009 season, it is also St. Davids Day. St. David or Dewi Sant as he is known in Welsh is the patron saint of Wales and March 1st is a day celebrated by many Welsh people around the world.

It is interesting to note that of the four saints associated with the countries of the United Kingdom it is believed that St David was the only Saint born in the country that adopted him. As you probably know the Daffodil is used to celebrate St Davids and with our love of flowers on Tree Tops we always try and put on the best possible display. Each year our fantastic gardening team plant between 1000 and 1500 new daffodil bulbs, we also plant the previous years bulbs throughout the park.  To us the daffodil is always one of the first signs that spring is just around the corner and after the winter hard winter we have they are definitely very welcome and worth celebrating.
